Tippers & muck away
Eight-wheelers earn by the load — not by the argument
DVS stars for London, cameras for the claims tippers attract, and round data that shows which runs actually pay.
Tipper work is unforgiving arithmetic: loads per day, minutes per turnaround, and one vulnerable-road-user claim away from a premium that eats the margin. London work adds DVS — no stars, no safe system, no entry. And every muck-away operator knows the "your truck cut me up" call that comes with zero evidence attached.
Cameras specced to the DVS safe system answer both: the stars for the gate and the footage for the claim. Tracking shows rounds as they really ran — where the queue was, which tip turned trucks fastest, which site burnt an hour of standing time you never billed.

What DVS rating do we need for London?
The threshold has tightened — below it, the Progressive Safe System kit is mandatory: cameras, sensors, audible warnings, signage. We fit to the current spec and keep the paperwork per truck.
Can cameras cover the nearside blind spot properly?
Yes — nearside camera plus sensor package with in-cab display, which is exactly what the safe system requires and what kills the cyclist-claim ambiguity.
Can we see turnaround time per tip site?
Geofence the tips and the report writes itself — average minutes inside the gate, per site, per week. It reprices bad rounds fast.
Muck sticks to everything — will the kit survive?
The hardware is IP-rated commercial-vehicle kit, fitted where tipper bodies and washdowns won't kill it. It lives on eight-wheelers happily.
Whole fleet live before the next contract starts?
7–10 days, fitted in the yard, around the round. That's the standard install, not the rush job.
